Courtyards is a five story 71 unit mixed use building on the corner
of Acton Street and University Avenue in Berkeley. There is 8,000
s.f. of retail on the ground floor and parking lifts are used
to maximize the onsite parking. The second floor has a large South
facing courtyard that will be landscaped to create several distinct
activity areas for tenants of all ages. The building also has
a substantial roof deck that will have panoramic views of the
bay. The exterior materials are primarily metal siding and fiber
cement panels. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2002.
