Olive Apartments Olive Apartments is a project which consists of two stories of apartments over a parking garage. The 0.66 acre building site is located on Thornton Avenue in Newark, California. The building contains 18 apartments ranging in size from 607 square feet to 1,078 square feet as well as a secure garage with accommodations for 23 vehicles. The building elevations have been manipulated to create a residential feel in order to reflect the local context and downplay the garage portion. This is in keeping with the City of Newark guidelines and adds to the character of the neighborhood. This project is scheduled to begin construction in late 2003 and is being developed by Cresencio Sandoval.
